Live Tumblr CSS Editing and Onscreen Results
Dear Fellow Tumblr Theme Developers:
Please do not make the same mistake(s) I have in that while just editing through tumblr’s live code window, I was not seeing the css results take hold through the side-by-side preview.
Once I had taken the code out of tumblr to bbedit, then back again and after executing the saves back through template screens that I realized my tinkering had in fact worked; only after I saw my theme displayed normally. And again sort of after I had given up!!!
I guess what I am saying is do not rely on tumblr’s live view code editing to see the whole picture, don’t trust it alone — or you’ll go crazy editing phantom code(s).
